NOTE TO USHERS:

Please arrive ½ hour prior to service

Light the Paschal candle (by the baptismal font) and 3 altar candles prior to service

Distribute bulletins as congregation arrives

DURING Communion:

o One member of usher team to act as Communion Assistant** with Pastor (See below)

o Other member of usher team to direct congregants to communion line/rail

After service collect stray bulletins, straighten pew items (hymnals, Bibles, etc.)

Be sure that offerings in “Giving Stations” are taken to the office if counters don’t pick them up

Record attendance on attendance slip (include children in Sunday School and musicians, tech team). Bring attendance slip to office with offerings (if counters don’t pick them up)

Communion Assistant:

Communion Assistant to bring chalice up to the altar during hymn, then to help set up

Stand with Pastor at the altar for Communion

Help clear all items from the altar after communion has been distributed
